Mark Your Calendars: Fall Season 2015 Approaches!

We are excited to share an array of programs included in our 2015 Fall Season, which features a bevy of concentrated festivals spotlighting international cinema as well as a brand-new documentary showcase spotlighting the nonfiction films sure to contend in awards season. Doc Stories is the newest addition to our Fall Season lineup, which this year also includes the highly anticipated return of its annual explorations of new work from the French-speaking world, Hong Kong, Italy and Taiwan. The season kicks off in mid-October with Taiwan Film Days, and culminates in a delightfully packed November schedule with daily offerings for movie lovers of all tastes.

Taiwan Film Days

Exploring new and classic work from the diverse island state of Taiwan, the sixth edition of this fan-favorite festival will feature a special spotlight on master filmmaker Hou Hsiao-hsien.

Doc Stories

Making its debut as part of the 2015 Fall Season, this new series celebrates the year’s most important documentaries that will undoubtedly define the awards season conversation. With numerous filmmakers in attendance, audiences will get a chance to engage in in-depth conversations about critical contemporary issues with some of our most talented nonfiction storytellers.

New Italian Cinema
November 11–15, Vogue Theatre

Exploring the rich cinematic tradition of Italy and discovering its newest generation of filmmakers, this 19th edition will feature new work from some of the country’s brightest stars and the annual City of Florence Award competition highlighting emerging voices.

Hong Kong Cinema

2015 marks the fifth anniversary of this festival of recent works from one of the world’s most exciting filmmaking hubs and promises to continue its tradition of offering a wild mix of genres, retrospective classics and iconic performances from the region’s biggest stars.

French Cinema Now

Returning for its eighth year, French Cinema Now consists of four delightful days dedicated to significant new works of francophone cinema from France, Belgium, Quebec and anywhere else you hear the sweet sounds of the French language.
